African Perspectives of Research and Innovation Management

EARIMA is a non-profit Association, with its Secretariat hosted at the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. It was formed in 2011 and was registered in 2015. EARIMA inter alia focuses on setting up and strengthening regional Research and Innovation (R&I) management networks, where R&I managers can access information, share experiences and good practices, and benchmark their progress.
EARIMA member countries are Burundi, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Somalia, Tanzania, Kenya, South Sudan, and Uganda. As part of its mission, EARIMA conducts Annual Conferences circulating in its member countries. The sixth Annual Conference shall be held at Golden Tulip Zanzibar Airport (for details, see https://zanzibar-airport.goldentulip.com/en-us/) in the Spices Island of Zanzibar in Tanzania.
Main theme of the conference shall be African Perspectives of Research and Innovation Management, while sub-themes will include Decolonising R&I Management, Navigating with Ethics in R&I Management, Reforms in R&I Management Policies and Implementation, Revisiting Technology Transfer, Exploring Grants Management, and Navigating with Postgraduate Supervision in Africa.
The conference shall be preceded by a pre-conference training workshop on R&I Management in Africa. During the conference, there shall be panel discussions on various R&I management issues.
The conference package is $250 (paid-up members) or $300 (non-members) for breakfast/ tea, lunch, field excursion to Stone Town of Zanzibar, and gala dinner.
